2012 ZIN-PHOMANIAC OLD VINE ZINFANDEL

HEALDSBURG, SONOMA RESERVE!

$10.00 BTL. (BELIEVE!)

OLD VINES TELL NO LIES!!  We captured 20 cases of this wine from a local Casino’s wine cellar.  The primary source for this Reserve Zinfandel is the Frederick Vineyard in Sonoma which now is used exclusively by Turley.  This is a Zin-lover’s Dream wine.

The 2012 Zin-Phomaniac Zinfandel Reserve opens to kaleidoscopic wild berry preserves, apricots, licorice and potpourri-like spices that gain nuance and intensity with time in the glass. The palate offers surprising depth of flavor in a lifted, silken, ultra juicy frame, and it finishes with a flourish of spicy nuances. What a beauty! It's immediately approachable but has what it takes for a long life in the cellar.  Looking for something to accompany your next winter stew?  RELEASE PRICE ON THIS WAS OVER $30!

2016 HOME FIELD RED BLEND

#38 ON WE TOP #100 WINES!

$15.00 BTL.

WAS $25! Sbragia Family Vineyards winemaker Adam Sbragia continues his family’s legacy in Dry Creek Valley, with the creation of  Home Field Red Blend.  Produced from the 2016 vintage, the debut wine is crafted from five grape varieties grown in six different vineyards: Gino’s Estate Zinfandel, La Promessa Estate Zinfandel, Teldeschi Petite Sirah, Forchini Carignane, Andolsen Cabernet and Home Ranch Estate Merlot.  Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Home Field Red offers a drop-dead gorgeous nose of potpourri, cinnamon stick, star anise, sandalwood and Sichuan pepper with a core of fruitcake, blueberry preserves and raspberry pie with waft of dried herbs and cigar box. Super concentrated and unashamedly bold in the mouth, it has a solid backbone of grainy tannins and lively acid perfectly supported with opulent fruit, finishing epically long. A Zinfandel lover’s Dream Wine!
