ROSÉ ALL DAY!!

ROTATION ROSÉ, LODI, CA.............$9.00 BTL.

Styled after a Bandol Rose’, this 100% Mourvedre Rose’ is shockingly French.  Obviously the winemaker team here either did their college dissertation of Rose’ from Provence or just knows his stuff.  This Rotation Rose is fruit-driven, with hints of cantaloupe, peach and red berries, a creamy, medium-bodied palate and a mouthwatering finish. Good till the last drop.

DOMAINE MAGELLAN ‘LE FRUIT DEFENDU’ ROSÉ, HERAULT, LANGUEDOC, FRANCE...$10.00 BTL.

6 hectares of old Cinsault vines on their beautiful sandstone sites. The vines come from field selections conducted in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region at the start of the 1960s.  For the Rosé Fruit Défendu, the Cinsault grapes are destemmed and transferred to tanks for short soaking on the skins. We only use the free-run juices – no press juices – which are settled and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Temperature control is not too strict because an old varietal like this one would not appreciate high-tech winemaking! All the grapes are picked by hand.  On the pale side of the color spectrum, Domaine Magellan's 2017 Le Fruit Defendu Rose features fresh strawberry and raspberry overtones to the melon and peach fruit. Medium to full-bodied, it's fleshy and ripe, with bold fruit and just enough dusty-stony complexity on the dry finish.

GANETA GETARIAKO TXAKOLINA ROSADO, SAN SEBASTIAN, BASQUE COUNTRY, ESPANA......$15.00 BTL.

WAS $22!  BEST PRICE ANYWHERE!  Pink, perfumed and wonderfully pure, this Rose wine made from the traditional grapes of Hondurrabi Zuri and Hondurrabi Beltza is the best liquid refresher for a hot day. Super low in alcohol and vibrant, this salmon-colored, slightly fizzy wine is locked and loaded with lime zest, strawberry, watermelon and minerally touches. This wine kicks ass and is so fun to drink and drink now!

CH. D’AQUERIA TAVEL ROSÉ, RHONE, FR.......................$18.00 (LAST CALL!)

#29 ENTHUSIAST 100 2019.  Most serious Rose’ wine lovers will agree that while the world is chock full of wonderful Rose’ there are two shining lights & they are both in France.  One is Provence (see above) which stretches from the Italian border to Marseilles and the other is a small appellation of Tavel near Avignon.

This medium-bodied, dry rosé offers intensely fresh, concentrated strawberry, raspberry and watermelon flavors. It's juicy yet invigorating and mineral. A blend of Grenache, Clairette, Cinsault and Mourvèdre, it's a structured, penetrating wine that will gain depth and complexity through 2022 and serve well in the colder months with game or poultry.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

LES ADRETS BANDOL ROSÉ, COTE D’AZUR, FRANCE.....$20.00 BTL.

France’s (no the Worlds) Greatest Rose’ wine come from this small appellation between Marseilles & Nice.  You want some of this!!

“Les Adrets 2019 Bandol Rose continue to show why it's considered one of the best rosés in the world. Made with a hefty chunky of Mourvedre, it offers beautifully crisp and precise notes of orange blossom, crushed rock, mineral water and white flower that flow seamlessly to a medium-bodied, balanced, lively and fresh style on the palate. While this doesn't have the heft of sheer fruit of a top Tavel, it has more tension and focus, and I suspect it will put on weight with another 3-4 months in bottle. In short, it's a beautiful Bandol rosé that delivers everything you could want from a rosé. It has the juiciness and freshness to drink nicely on its own or at the start of a meal, as well as the complexity and depth to handle any number of richer foods.”  LIMITED!!
